(Yeah, they're in there.)
Honestly, other kids should really go to Waimarino because it's a whole lot of fun, you get to try new things be it your first time kayaking or you want to try a bunch of different water activities and just want to have fun? I mean, who doesn't love water parks? If you don't, they've got rock-climbing, low ropes, volleyball and a hot pool.
During our time at Waimarino, we (or I, I guess) used our key competencies to keep me well-behaved (sorta) and I guess, safe.
Managing self - Stuck to instructions and didn't get on anyone's nerve by bothering them so much. (A lot of kids got up to go get a wet suit and stuff, and I kept myself warm by staying in the same jersey)
Using signs, symbols & text - Signs were put up around the hot pools and other parts around the park, telling us not to dive in the pool and such. Not doing this was a good thing and after doing it a few times they noticed there was indeed a sign and didn't do anything else to prevent themselves from breaking their face.
Participating and contributing - Because I wasn't allowed to do anything in the water, I resorted to spending a little bit of time on the low ropes, but then went back over to my friends.
Relating to others - I sorta participated in a couple of the games the kids played by themselves by being a ref and cheering people on, I guess.
Thinking - What did I learn? The words "can't", "cold" and "freezing" are a no, no in Waimarino and if you say them, you'll be punished! (with 10 push-ups)
