Tauranga Girls College: Orientation Day

Today, all the yr 8 girls went to TGC for their orientation day. We had to sit in the old gym as we were greeted by the deputy principal — Mrs Ferguson, our deans for next year and a couple of the girls who would be running things, like the Head Girl, Adriana Bird. She presented some of the other girls:

Molly Scoular-Sutton; Deputy Head Girl.
Huia Ackerman; Sports Captain.
And Tessa Adams; Arts Director.

Our deans for next year are Mrs Glaser Brown, and Mrs Keightly, and after they had spoken they led us off into groups. Our groups were formed from our lines, and we were led by some of the Yr 9 girls who gave us a tour of the school. When we were done, we went back to the classroom we were led to, where the teacher inside gave us a pack full of the things we need for our first days in College and information on the school.
There are 4 houses in TGC:

The green house's Batten.
The red house's Freyberg.
The yellow house's Mansfield.
And the blue house's Rutherford.

The motto of TGC is Pergo et Perago (I go on and finish)
