Dangerous Decibels

Today we went over to 'Dangerous Decibels', where we had learnt about sound and hearing and how loud a noise should be before it breaks your hearing.

One thing that I had learnt that I didn't know before was that there were 3 animals that were able to grow back the hairs in the ears so noise doesn't really affect them that much, which were frogs, birds and fish.

A fact about it was that a pig squealing is actually dangerous for your ears, and is around 115dB (decibels), when the average hearing is 85dB. So you're only allowed around a pig squealing for about 15 minutes before it may be affecting your hearing.

I don't particularly listen to anything too loud, because I don't listen to music through my headphones that often, but when I do it is fairly loud so I block people out. I'll change that so I don't end up deaf before I hit adulthood. -_-
