A Most Triumphant Tale

Yesterday, at around about 10:50am our house had gone to watch our school Production at Bay Court, which they had named it A Most Triumphant Tale,  written and directed by Carol Storey (Mrs Storey) and Jessica Ross (Jess).

A Most Triumphant Tale is about bringing back real music, where it's about having legit talent and an actual voice than lip syncing words, where the world is doomed to end up like by one band, called "One Dimension". Starman (one of the characters) tells us a story about how he tried to help a band called "Labyrinth" keeping the world from turning into just that.

I'm a person who's not overly interested into musicals, or plays, because a lot of the time the actor's aren't very good or are making an overkill. So, hearing about it before I didn't think it was going to be that great, as in I thought it was just going to be some kind of boring musical/play where they're all just singing or acting, but it was really fun and funny to watch!

I think my favorite thing about it was the storyline, it just was really interesting how they took something from singing and put into a desperate "Save The World" music type of thing, as I also loved them bringing back old artists like Paul McCartney (One of the Beatles), Jimi Hendrix, Shakira and other artists.

The lighting was really brilliant in my opinion too, as well as the sound effects they stumbled a little with it, as in they had to move it a lot when they slipped of the person with the spotlight, but they regained it quickly and it was really cool. The other thing I liked was all the painted objects they used for the setting, which was well done by one of the teachers, who had painted everything. (And as said before, did a very good job in doing that for being by himself.)

Throughout the show, there was a lot of little funny parts in there (there was even a bit of romance in it, which, being me, was rather interesting), which in some parts I found funny or got a bit uncomfortable with it. (No offense to them.)

The looks on their faces in the show were like they were genuinely shocked, or frightened, they were awesome actors! Though in some parts I had got a bit bored at it, I blame myself for not going to bed to early although. Though some of the actors were rather quiet to start off with, or singers, but they grew a little louder and I don't blame them for being quiet. After all, they were performing in front of almost the entirety of the school, but they still did a great job!

A student from our house, Damian, played one of the main protagonists as "Phil" (which I'm still yet to figure out who that was marked off) with Liam from Tawa taking the role as "Ed", who are one of the members of one of the main bands; "Labyrinth" and personally, I think they did a good job in acting. Their voices kind of put me off, since they sounded sort of emotionless, but I guess that's what they actually sounded like. They were still great actors. Overall I didn't really have a favorite actory/character, I thought they were all pretty cool, but those two boys were probably the best in my opinion.

Here's one of the pictures that I'm in, but my back is turned to the camera, and (luckily for me, who's not too fond of the camera) after the show:
